The story
Forest Hills Cemetery is a historic 275-acre rural cemetery in the Forest Hills section of Jamaica Plain, Boston, that also serves as a green space, arboretum, and sculpture garden. It was founded in 1848 as a municipal cemetery for Roxbury and became private when Boston annexed Roxbury in 1868. Its winding paths and monuments reward an unhurried walk.
