The story
The best-known figure at this historic venue is a woman in 19th-century dress seen in a window looking toward the Ohio River, named by guides as Elizabeth, a servant who took her life after believing her riverboat husband had died. A second presence has also been described, and a local tour guide has said she would not go inside alone.
