The story
Central Indiana's Lady in Black is said to sit on a tree stump at the edge of this forest cemetery, talking to the husband and daughter she lost one after the other. Other versions cast her as a witch guarding the graves or as the protector of a child's grave, and generations of IU students have kept the story going with late-night visits.
Visitors. Open during state forest hours (free).
Location note. No street number; cemetery is inside Morgan-Monroe State Forest off Main Forest Road
