The story
Longtime staff describe Jacoby's Light, a shimmering blue glow that rises from the third box seat, floats toward the stage and fades, a phenomenon featured on public television in 1994. A portrait of Elias J. Jacoby, the Shriner leader behind the 1909 building, is also said to have been seen with a tear on its cheek.
