The story
The oldest building on the Iowa State campus, dating to 1860, is linked to two women from its past. Curtains that staff pin shut each night are reportedly found open the next morning, a habit credited to dean's daughter Edith Curtiss, while silverware on display is said to turn to the same 45-degree angle, attributed to Esther Wilson, who died in the house.
