The story
Claude Dunson was shot here in 1896, and witnesses say that on December mornings near the anniversary a man in Victorian clothes walks down Vernon Street and disappears when anyone looks straight at him. Visit LaGrange suggests it is Dunson's spirit, and a psychic on a tour said she sensed a restless energy by the second-story windows above the corner.
Visitors. Public street corner (free); stop on the Strange LaGrange walking tour.
Location note. Intersection only (corner of Bull and Lafayette Streets); no street number
