The story
The 1928 hotel stands on the site of the homes of John Hay and Henry Adams, whose wife Clover died in December 1885. Staff and guests on the fourth floor report clock radios switching on, doors locking by themselves, a woman softly crying and a faint almond scent, said to be strongest in early December.
Visitors. Open to the public (luxury hotel; restaurant and bar open to non-guests).
