The story
Night hikers on Riverside's landmark peak describe tall, robed shadow figures standing along the ridgeline that keep their distance and vanish when approached, which some compare to the Dark Watchers of the Santa Lucia Mountains. Others say small stones have been tossed at them from places where no one could be seen.
