The story
Staff at this 1889 Victorian say they hear children laughing on the upper floors when the rooms are empty, usually in the afternoon. A doll on display is tied to a playful spirit in ghost-tour lore, and doorknobs have gone missing from their fittings and turned up elsewhere in the house.
