The story
Opened in 1926 as San Jose's grand 'Million Dollar Hotel,' the Sainte Claire now operates as The Westin San Jose. Ghost-tour lore tells of a jilted bride said to have leapt from the roof and of a shadowy man linked to the smell of tobacco smoke on the second and sixth floors.
