The story
Josephine Dunsmuir waited seventeen years to marry Alexander Dunsmuir, then outlived him by only ten months in a house she had barely moved into. Tour staff say a lavender scent drifts through the master bedroom and upstairs hall, second-floor doors are found latched from inside, and a figure is seen at upper windows when the house is empty.
