The story
Dozens of deaths during the Depression gave this 1913 arch bridge the nickname Suicide Bridge, and an undocumented legend says a worker fell into wet concrete during construction and was left there. The ghost stories describe a man in wire-rimmed glasses who approaches people on the span and disappears, and a woman in a flowing robe seen standing on the parapet before she vanishes.
Visitors. Open to the public (bridge; free pedestrian access).
