The story
More than 1,600 graves sit under spruce and hemlock here, the old Cyrillic stones tilting as roots and moss work them loose. The cemetery is a regular stop on Sitka's haunted-history walks, valued less for a single ghost than for its heavy, quiet atmosphere in the coastal rainforest.
