The story

Forty-four people were executed at this former convict prison, and its small gallows room is often described as cold and eerie. Staff and visitors report sudden drops in temperature, unease in certain areas and full apparitions, and one visitor's photo of the empty gallows room seemed to show a dark figure.

Visitors. Open to the public (daytime tours; Torchlight Tour on Wednesday and Friday nights).
