The story
Opened in 1875 as the Academy of Music, this is one of Australia's best-preserved theatres and is rumoured to have three ghosts. One is said to be Caroline Eliza Lewis, a 16-year-old performer, and the remains of a cat placed in the building more than a century ago are said to protect it and its audiences.
