The story
Staff call the Reverend George Eastman's home the most haunted building at Port Arthur, and some describe it as Australia's most haunted house. Eastman died there in 1870, leaving a wife and ten children with no support, and guides say he has been seen many times around the house looking annoyed with visitors, alongside reports of lights in empty upstairs rooms.
Visitors. Open to the public (historic site day entry; nightly lantern ghost tours).
