The story

While building the convict church, prisoner William Carter killed fellow convict Joseph Shutterworth with a pickaxe, then said calmly that he was satisfied, and he was later hanged in Hobart. The ghost tour opens with this story, and a veteran guide recalls collapsing in front of his group with a sudden stabbing pain in his head at the spot.
