The story
Built in 1847 and rebuilt in 1858, this coaching inn is where Toowoomba's first recorded ghost sighting took place, according to local historian Don Talbot, who traced it to a 1909 newspaper report. Groups now book nights at the inn hoping for an encounter, though a long-time National Trust volunteer insists the only night visitors are possums and mice.
