The story

This mid-1840s police station, which also served as the courthouse, is now a huge secondhand bookshop. The founder was convinced things happened after dark and brought in paranormal investigators. Writers have suggested Mary Ann Brownlow, the last woman hanged in New South Wales, as a likely spirit.

Visitors. Open to the public (secondhand bookshop).
