The story

Canberra's oldest building, built in 1833, is home to the city's best-known ghost, Sophia Susanna Campbell, who died in 1885 at 28 after falling from her first-floor bedroom window, whether by accident, by her own hand or pushed, nobody knows. Since the 1970s residents have reported a glowing young woman in 19th-century dress and a freshly made bed found rumpled with pillows thrown about, and some senior officers reportedly refuse to sleep in her room.
